SAT Technician

Reporting to the HEad of Technical Services

Description

As part of the Technical Support team, you will provide technical support to our customers (both on-site and remotely), commission BESS + PV projects and systems, and carry out maintenance and repair work at CEGASA or at the customer’s premises; you will act as CEGASA’s representative and point of contact for the customer in these tasks.

Place of work: Alava Technology Park (Miñano).

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance on photovoltaic installations and energy storage systems.
• Carry out corrective work and technical diagnostics on-site, ensuring compliance with the company’s quality standards and warranty requirements.
• Assist with the commissioning, testing and adjustment of systems.
• Complete technical reports in English and Spanish.
• Advise and provide technical support to clients and the engineering team.
• Attend work meetings.
• Attend internal and external meetings, site surveys, etc.
• Participate in field tests and ensure their successful completion, meeting the project or client’s requirements in technical matters and risk prevention.

Profile:

• Technical training in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or similar. (Level 2 Vocational Training, Higher National Diploma in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, renewable energy, etc.).
• Experience in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems and lithium-ion batteries.
• General knowledge of substations, communications and control systems in power generation plants will be an advantage.
• Good spoken and written English (essential). Minimum B2 level.
• Full availability to travel, both nationally and internationally.
• Valid driving licence.
• (Desirable) Certifications: Health and Safety, working at height, confined spaces, electrical safety.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English and Spanish.
• Ability to solve problems independently and quickly.
• Organisational skills and a sense of responsibility in managing maintenance and incidents.
• Teamwork in multidisciplinary and international environments.
• Commitment to safety and sustainability.
• Residence: Vitoria or surrounding area.
