Our history.

CEGASA, founded in 1934.

CEGASA has played a leading role in many of the main technological developments in the sector, becoming one of the most prominent energy storage companies in Europe.

1934

First battery manufacturer in Spain and one of the first in Europe. Under the name Tximist, CEGASA takes its first steps at its headquarters in Oñate.

1956

Production of electrolytic manganese dioxide begins.

1959

Start of production of consumer batteries with “Leclanche” technology.

1983

Creation of the Cegasa brand to replace the Tximist brand.

1992

Launch of “Top Energy” batteries. Heavy metals are eliminated from alkaline batteries.

1998

Production of the Super-Alkaline battery.

2002

Launch of high-tech products (Evolution battery).

2009

First lithium batteries.

2014

First 300 kWh BESS Solution.

2018

Launch of the E/Bick Pro180 and E/Bick Ultra100 solutions.

2021

Launch of the E/Bick Pro280, Solargreen, and E/Bick Ultra175. Launch of a line of alarms with zinc-air batteries.

2023

New CEGASA brand.
