First prototype for agrovoltaic energy community study in Picassent (Spain)
The challenge:
This EU-subsidised project seeks to create one of the first energy communities in the country, to serve multiple greenhouses going as far as installing a solar photovoltaic plant with an output of 1MW.
The solution:
The first step has been to develop a first prototype to demonstrate the technical feasibility and competitive advantages of producing electricity with photovoltaic panels mounted as shading structures on high return crop varieties. For this purpose, 4 CEGASA eBick Pro 280 modules have been installed, which are used to supply the consumption of pumps, motors, etc. of the agricultural installation (approximately 30-40 kW/day).
Facts and figures:

Type of installation: Agrovoltaic
Official distributor and technical support: Plug&Play Energy
Installer and engineering: INDEREN (Agrovoltaic)
Manufacturers, models and number of inverters: SMA: STP core 1 50-41 and 3 x Sunny Island 8.0
Number of modules and model installed: 4x E/Bick 280Pro
