Electronic Engineer focused on Product Certifications

Reporting to the Head of Lithium-Ion Product Development.

Description

As part of our expansion plan and consolidation of the R&D area, we are looking to hire an Electronic Engineer with experience in power electronics to manage the certification of lithium-ion batteries designed at CEGASA. The selected candidate will participate in the full product design and certification cycle, leading laboratory testing activities and managing the documentation required by certification bodies.

Responsibilities

• Document management throughout the product certification process.
• Analysis of quotations and contracting of laboratories selected for product certification.
• Communication with certification bodies and analysis of product regulations.
• Product design based on regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory analysis: interpret and apply directives (such as CE marking) and specific standards related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radio frequency (RF), or electrical safety.
• Test management: coordinate technical testing with external laboratories and supervise validation protocols.
• Technical documentation: prepare certification files, compliance plans, and technical guidelines for the design team.
• Legal compliance: ensure the product is suitable for commercialization in different international markets in accordance with local legislation.

Candidate profile and education

• University degree in Power Electronics Engineering or similar.
• Hardware fundamentals: ability to interpret electronic schematics and use basic laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
• Analytical skills, rigorous documentation practices, and experience in certification processes.

Valued skills:
• Experience in product certification processes with certification companies (minimum 2 years).
• Experience working with laboratories and homologation processes.
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to products.
• Technical, practical, and problem-solving profile.
• Knowledge of regulations (CE, EMC, electrical safety, RF, batteries, etc.).
• Participation in lithium-ion battery projects.
• Focus on product certification and technical documentation.
• Interest in innovation in the energy efficiency sector.
• On-site work model.
• High level of English (C1). Technical English.
• Residence in Vitoria or nearby areas.

    • Working hours:
    - Monday to Thursday: 8h 10m workday with flexible entry/exit schedule.
    - Friday: 6-hour workday.
      - July and August: intensive schedule, 7 hours per day.
