Electric charging support system for Wallbox (Spain)

Wallbox is a global company dedicated to changing the way the world uses energy.

They work by creating smart charging systems that combine cutting-edge technology with exceptional design, managing the communication between the electric car and the charger through user-friendly applications.

The challenge:

Wallbox faced the challenge of covering the power demanded by its new office building and the company's charger test facilities, which amounted to a total energy demand of more than 400kW.

The main problem in achieving this was that its transformer limited the power it could demand from the grid, restricting its capabilities.

A perfect challenge to tackle with CEGASA solutions and thus avoid up to 12 months of public works between permit processing and execution.

The solution:

We installed a stationary energy storage solution consisting of 40 CEGASA E/Bick 280Pro modules. This solution, in the words of Daniel Utgés, product manager for energy management at Wallbox, became a key part of their Sirius intelligent management system. It also contributed to the company's strategy of becoming increasingly sustainable, allowing them to store all that energy from solar panels that they do not consume immediately, and that they can recover in times of need when energy is more expensive.
