Peak shaving installation in production plant Mermeladas Paiarrop (Spain)

Year: 2023
Client: Mermeladas Paiarrop
Success stories Peak Shaving

Paiarrop is a Valencian family-run company that has achieved recognition for its jams in more than half the world.

This has led it to expand its production plant twice in the last 10 years.

The challenge:

The client had three supply points as electrical support for the factory, with power ratings of 95 kVA, 60 kVA and 86 kVA contracted respectively. The objective was to obtain high levels of self-sufficiency for their production plant and energy cost savings through a photovoltaic installation.

The solution:

16 modules of our product CEGASA eBick PRO 280 were installed to support the solar system. In this way, the electricity supply has been unified by 86 kVA, reducing the overall contracted power by 155 kVA, maximising the energy savings, given that a single solar photovoltaic installation generates for the three consumption points.

The savings generated by this installation amount to 60% of the annual energy consumed and 64% of the contracted power. In addition, 80% coverage has been achieved using solar photovoltaic energy for the spring and summer months.

Facts and figures:

Type of installation: Peak Shaving for self-consumption without surplus.
